Know the Candidate Paul Rasso for San Bernardino Community College

Summary

Commissioner Paul Rasso is supported by teachers, community leaders and working families in his bid to be San Bernardino Community College’s newest Trustee for District 1.

 

s a resident of Colton, Paul began his community involvement in 1998. He’s held numerous community and leadership offices; currently as the Chair of Colton Recreation and Parks, Chairman of Colton Community Coalitions for Change, and a member of the Education Legislative Committee for California School Employees Association monitoring legislation that is leading the fight in changing education, labor and safety standards for our students and staff. In 2016, Paul Rasso was awarded the Men of Distinction Honor for Assembly District 47 and the California School Employees Association honored him as a “Member of the Year” in 2015. As an employee of the Colton Joint Unified School District, Paul Rasso has spent his entire career advocating for the educational advancement of our community.

Paul Rasso earned an Associate’s in Business Administration in 2006 and a Bachelor’s in Studies of Law in 2008. Over the years, he’s acquired a vast knowledge of public fund budgets and decision making. He will use his education and knowledge to contribute to the advancement of the SBCCD. The Colleges and the EDTC provide the much needed instruction in our community that translates into qualified employees and economic growth for the region. Paul Rasso is running for the SBBCD to bridge gaps between our colleges and our regions employers and ensure our students are receiving the best support services and quality education.
